Housing Coordinator at Nacka Municipality
Do you want to make a real difference for people on their way to their own home? As a housing coordinator with us, you will be part of an engaged team that sees opportunities where others see obstacles — always putting the customer first.
Your mission:
We who work in the employment and establishment unit do so on behalf of the board for work and welfare. The unit's mission is our main process, the path to self-sufficiency. The process includes supporting residents of Nacka in need of financial assistance and labor market measures, as well as ensuring Nacka Municipality's refugee reception. We believe in meeting those we serve in a professional and respectful manner, with a clear focus on a quick and effective path to self-sufficiency and independence.
In the role of housing coordinator with us, you will support and ensure that customers receive the assistance they need during their time in the municipality's temporary housing solutions and will move on to independence and a permanent home.
Your responsibilities also include:
- Coordination and referral to housing search for customers in temporary housing solutions
- Follow-up of ongoing housing initiatives and housing searches
- Collaboration with relevant parties, both internally and externally
- Compilation of statistics
As a housing coordinator, you will belong to the administration, housing, budget, and debt counseling workgroup, with group manager Juliette Haddad as your immediate supervisor. The unit's managers focus on quality, responsiveness, participation, and orderliness in their leadership. Together, they ensure that the operations are conducted under the motto “keep your head cool and your heart warm.”
Is this you?
To thrive in this role, you need to enjoy working independently and have the ability to lead yourself while collaborating with other relevant parties, both internally and externally. You value diversity in all its forms and have the ability to see opportunities and convey hope to people in vulnerable situations and/or with complex life circumstances.
Your experience:
- A degree in social work or a similar higher education is required
- Very good communication skills in both spoken and written form, in both Swedish and English.
Experience with the target group and work in a municipality is an advantage.
We offer:
In Nacka, you will have the opportunity to work in a municipality that aims to be the best in Sweden at being a municipality, with openness and diversity as its vision and a fundamental value of trusting people's knowledge, will, and ability.
