The Social Administration has a wide area of responsibility that includes regulatory activities and preventive measures, with reception and investigation units, outpatient care, family law, financial assistance, and an operational unit that works with preventive measures.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In the role of curator, parental counseling is also included within the framework of the Home Visiting Program based on the Rinkeby model. The aim is to focus on the child's best interests and be responsive to the family's own culture and competence to prevent ill health among children.

As a curator, you will collaborate with the Open Preschool, Midwifery Clinic, and Child Health Center. The target group is parents and expectant parents residing in the municipality with children aged 0-6 years. This also includes collaboration with other stakeholders and actors working preventively with children and their families in the area.

We are looking for an engaged and experienced person with the right education and competence who can offer preventive measures to children and their parents that lead to positive change. The role includes working individually with families, conducting series of conversations focused on parental support, and leading parent groups. It also includes being part of the Home Visiting Program together with staff from the Child Health Center.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be able to take on the role, we see that you have:

• a degree in social work or another equivalent academic qualification
• a valid driver's license, as the position involves travel between different operations and home visits

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience in parental support, both individually and in groups
• experience working with the Home Visiting Program
• further education in the family systems area such as step 1 or another comparable education
• experience working in multicultural areas, which we see as an asset since many families with different backgrounds live in Sigtuna Municipality

In addition to the above, you are a person with a high degree of independence, self-motivation, and a very good ability to collaborate with others. You have the ability to adjust your planning and switch pace depending on the influx of clients/families. We place great importance on personal suitability and your willingness to contribute to the development of the operation.

The Family Center in Sigtuna Municipality is part of the Outpatient Care Unit in the municipality. At the Family Center, we work closely with our pedagogical colleagues with whom we share common spaces. Within the Outpatient Care Unit, everyone works together to offer Sigtuna's children, youth, and families early interventions to prevent larger problems. The organization is in constant change, and new assignments in the municipality may entail new tasks for employees.

This position is a fixed-term employment for the entire year of 2026 with good opportunities for permanent employment.
