About the role

As a social pedagogue with us, you play a central role in promoting a positive and safe school culture. Your focus is on students' social development, safety, and attendance. You work where the students are – in the hallways, in the classroom, and in conversations.

You are part of the school's safety team and collaborate closely with other safety personnel, mentors, student health, and management.

Your mission

Your work spans several areas, focusing on creating structure, preventing conflicts, and strengthening students' social development.

You are responsible for developing and organizing the school's break activities and contributing to a safe presence in common areas. Through your visibility and relationship-building work, you catch situations early and prevent conflicts from escalating.

You work both proactively and reactively with the school's social climate. This means that you, together with mentors and student health, hold conversations after conflicts, mediate between students, and follow up until the situation is resolved. You participate in work related to bullying and conduct safety conversations as needed.

Part of the mission also includes individual student support. You have recurring conversations with students about, for example, peer relationships, motivation, and impulse control, and lead smaller groups for social training and study focus. You contribute to ensuring that new students have a safe start with us.

Together with mentors and the student health team, you actively work to strengthen school attendance through mapping, motivational conversations, and support during the return to teaching.

You also participate in the school's values work and plan, together with colleagues, thematic initiatives and activities that strengthen community and respect.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is a trained social pedagogue or has other qualifications that the employer deems equivalent.

As a person, you are relationship-building and easily gain the trust of young people. You are solution-focused, remain calm in challenging situations, and see opportunities where others see obstacles. You are structured and have the ability to plan and drive your work forward while enjoying collaborating in a team.
