There is a 14-year-old boy in Hammarby Sjöstad who meets the world every day with a mix of curiosity, humor, and courage. He has a brain injury that does not affect his intellectual abilities but makes it difficult for his body to keep up. Nevertheless, it is his will and joy that carry him forward.

When you step through the door, you are met by his gaze - and it is precisely this gaze that is your way to each other. With the help of Tobii, an eye-controlled communication aid, he expresses what he thinks, what he wants, and what he feels. It takes some time to learn his rhythm, but when you find it, something very beautiful emerges. An interaction built on patience, attentiveness, and warmth.

Your moments with him are filled with small, important instances. You assist him with what he needs in daily life - clothing, meals, hygiene, mobility - but it is the relationship that makes the work meaningful. You laugh at something in the game you play together. You talk about the day. You engage in an activity he loves, perhaps horseback riding or swimming training. He is active and brave, and you are there as a source of safety and support.

This is a job where you get to be close, where you follow a person in his development, and where your presence makes a difference every day. We are a team that supports him together in reaching his full potential.

Working Hours

You will work approximately 50-75%, primarily:

• Monday-Friday from 3:00 PM to 9:30 PM
• Some weekend shifts
• Many shifts involve double assistance
• Workplace: Hammarby Sjöstad, but from mid-April the family will move to Kungsholmen

Extra work as needed is a plus.

Who You Are

You are a person who meets others with calmness and care. You enjoy being active, are secure in yourself, and find it easy to create a warm connection. You are patient, attentive, and have a natural desire to understand how someone else communicates and functions.

Requirements:

• Very good Swedish
• Good English (relative is English-speaking)
• Criminal record extract must be ordered online by yourself
