On behalf of the government, the National Property Board of Sweden (SFV) manages our shared natural and cultural heritage. We manage a diversity of state-owned properties – including government buildings, courts, castles and royal estates, theaters, museums, embassies, and one-seventh of the country's area consisting of forests and land.

As employees, we take pride in being part of an authority, working based on the state’s core values, and contributing to positive societal development.

SFV Utrikes is responsible for the state-owned properties abroad, such as Swedish embassies, residences, and institutes. Our mission involves managing existing buildings as well as constructing new ones and promoting contemporary Swedish architecture, design, and craftsmanship. Our largest tenant is the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. We are about 20 people working at SFV Utrikes. Our office is located in Södermalm, Stockholm, but the whole world is our workplace.

Your Role

As a technical property manager at the Swedish embassy in Moscow, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the embassy as SFV's representative on-site, and you will lead locally employed facility technicians. This is a varied and developing role with a significant degree of responsibility. Your tasks include meeting tenants and having regular check-ins with management in Sweden. You will be responsible for leading daily operations and driving construction and technical projects initiated by our Sweden-based managers. In some projects, you will be the project manager, while in others, you will be involved in various phases. The employment is fixed-term for 2 years, and you will reside on the premises.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who has:

  • several years of experience as a technical property manager or equivalent focused on property operations and maintenance,
  • experience working as a supervisor for operational staff,
  • previous experience working abroad in a challenging environment for several years,
  • very good Swedish and English, both spoken and written,
  • holds at least a B driver's license, as some travel is required in the position.

Meritorious:

  • experience as a seconded employee from a Swedish government authority,
  • experience working with physical property security,
  • experience in risk assessments and personal security issues.

Personal Qualities

We place great importance on your personal qualities. Working as a seconded employee is challenging. It requires high integrity and a good ability to handle changes and unforeseen events. You need to be a secure and stable person who inspires trust and is good at building relationships.

As a seconded employee, you represent SFV and act based on the state’s core values. This means you have a behavior and approach that preserves trust in the authority and the state.

How to Apply

To apply for the position, we ask you to attach your CV and answer a number of selection questions based on the requirement profile. In the first selection, we will only consider your CV and your answers to the questions. We wish for you to respond concretely and succinctly, and for there to be a clear connection between your answers and your CV.
