Scania Industrial Maintenance AB is a technical production support company that is part of Scania CV AB. Do you want to work closely with production and contribute chemical expertise in an operation that drives sustainable and efficient manufacturing? We are now looking for a Chemical Engineer / Lab Engineer focused on process fluids for our by-products team within Scania IM.

About the role

You will be part of the by-products team and have overall responsibility for the laboratory operations in the area. In this role, you will act as a support function towards Scania's various production areas and contribute with sampling, analysis, testing, and technical expertise as well as support in their daily work and development projects.

The role combines practical laboratory work, analysis, quality monitoring, and close dialogue with production, environmental functions, and external parties. You play an important role in ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement related to the handling and analysis of process fluids and environmental samples.

Your main responsibilities

• Sampling and analysis of process fluids.

• Sampling of environmental samples (water) in both internal and external environments.

• Ensuring quality and monitoring of chemical processes and laboratory analyses related to production.

• Method development and improvement of analysis and quality routines.

• Documentation, reporting, and interpretation of analysis results.

• Advising and providing technical support to production areas.

• Ensuring that work is conducted in accordance with applicable environmental, quality, and safety requirements.

• Responsibility for laboratory equipment, calibration, and structure in the lab environment.

Who are you

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or equivalent.

• Experience in laboratory work and quality monitoring, preferably within process fluids, process industry, or manufacturing industry.

• A good understanding of chemical analysis methods and quality work.

• The ability to work independently and take overall responsibility in your area.

• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

• A valid driver's license (B).

Experience from the automotive industry is a plus.
