E.ON in Sweden is part of the international energy group E.ON SE, headquartered in Essen, Germany. The group employs around 70,000 people in 17 countries. In Sweden, approximately 2,100 dedicated employees work. Our Nordic headquarters is located in Malmö. In Sweden, we deliver electricity, heat, and smart energy solutions to over one million households and businesses. E.ON's role is to take responsibility and drive development forward, so that more can transition. With our investments and our customers' willingness to contribute, we work to continue electrifying society and meet future energy needs.

Welcome to us at E.ON – and become part of the energy transition. In collaboration with our customers and partners, we ensure that electricity and heat are produced, used, and recycled smarter. If you have passion and believe in the power of working together, E.ON is the place for you.

About us

As a Project Manager, you will be part of our PMO within the district heating operations, a central function that supports our four district heating locations in Sweden. We manage both investment and reinvestment projects while also working to develop our project processes and working methods. Together, we contribute to creating sustainable energy solutions for our customers, now and in the future.

In PMO, we work closely with the business and our internal clients to ensure that district heating projects are implemented in a safe, efficient, and quality-assured manner. Our projects range from ground-laid distribution pipelines to larger production-related measures. Through our work, we enable both stable operations and continued development of future energy systems – with a strong business focus and the customer's needs at the center.

Your role

In the role of Project Manager, you are responsible for driving district heating projects from early stages to final delivery. Your primary focus is on distribution projects in Stockholm, which may involve new connections in development areas as well as reinvestments and pipeline relocations. You lead contracts with complex contractual relationships and ensure that the projects' goals regarding time, cost, and quality are achieved.

You will among other things:

  • Procure, manage, and coordinate contracts within district heating.
  • Follow up on budgets, timelines, and quality goals, as well as ensure a good working environment.
  • Lead the projects throughout the implementation – from procurement to operational facility.
  • Participate in construction meetings, inspections, controls, and tests.
  • Contribute to PMO's mission to ensure high quality in our projects and to standardize effective working methods.
  • Be an important part of business development and the process team's continued work.

To assist you, you have engaged project colleagues, experts, and well-established support from PMO's process organization. The team is geographically dispersed, which means that digital collaboration is a natural part of everyday life.

Possible work location: Stockholm (project area). There is a possibility of work in other locations, but it is not a requirement.

Your experiences

We are looking for someone with experience in driving technically complex projects, preferably within district heating or related infrastructure; experience from water and sewage, electrical networks, or other construction activities is also relevant.

We would like you to have:

  • Documented project management experience at a senior level.
  • Technical understanding of district heating or related infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in procuring and leading contracts.
  • Good knowledge of contract law (AB/ABT).
  • Ability to work systematically with budgets, follow-ups, and project management.
  • Experience in project processes or process development.

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, IPMA, PRINCE2).
  • System familiarity with SAP, Antura, and AutoCAD.

Who are you?

The qualities that will help you succeed with us are your ability to communicate clearly and create good collaborations, both in the project group and in the organization at large. You are confident in dialogue with different stakeholders and can present to management teams and steering groups in a professional and simple manner. At the same time, you are curious and proactive – you take initiative, actively seek solutions, and drive work forward even when the conditions are not entirely clear. We also believe that you thrive in a role where you take significant personal responsibility but still build strong relationships and work closely with colleagues. A humble approach, a desire to develop, and contribute to the team's collective progress are highly valued.

What is it like with us?

You will be part of a PMO team with 17 colleagues who work closely together despite geographical dispersion. The team has a positive and engaged culture where we enjoy meeting physically and where we have a lot of dialogue and exchange in everyday life. It is a large team, but we work with different areas within project operations – with us, you will find project managers, process leaders, administrators, and experts.

Your nearest manager leads with high trust and clarity – you will have significant responsibility but also stable support and a manager who appreciates straightforward and open dialogues. With us, you will have a role with real authority to influence both projects and working methods.

At E.ON, we actively work with inclusion. We want you to feel welcome just as you are, and we are convinced that diversity makes us better and strengthens our ability to drive the energy transition forward.

Warm welcome to apply and join us on the path to a sustainable society! The application deadline is 3/3 - 2026.

The position is security classified, which means that a security review will be conducted before employment.
