Do you enjoy solving problems and working on improvements with great freedom? If you have experience and interest in the process industry, this is a chance for a new challenge for you.

As a process engineer, you will systematically drive and implement improvement and development work to optimize media & production processes at Jästbolaget. In your tasks, you will play an important role in solving process and quality issues. You understand the production processes both theoretically and practically, and you monitor new technology in process equipment. Another important part is to propose improvements for unit operations and new investments. You will lead projects but will also be involved in project execution. You will prepare feasibility studies, decision-making materials, and report project status. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and training production staff at the facility. The work is mostly independent with close collaboration with adjacent departments.

We are looking for someone who is a university or engineering graduate in mechanical engineering, chemistry, process technology, or equivalent. You have at least three years of industrial experience in process engineering production with automated processes, and you have good knowledge of process equipment. You are used to working independently and leading and driving projects. It is an advantage if you have project management training. It is also advantageous if you have industry knowledge in the process industry, e.g., food, paper mills, and/or practical skills in technology and maintenance.

You have good computer skills in the Office suite and preferably in AutoCAD. It is advantageous if you have knowledge of automation programming. Furthermore, you have good communication skills and are fluent in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

As a person, you are driven, engaged, and have the ability to drive projects from the idea stage to implementation. You are self-sufficient, structured, analytical, and action-oriented. To succeed in the tasks, you need to prioritize, understand the whole picture, and have logical thinking in your problem-solving approach. At the same time, you are unpretentious, meticulous, and have good collaboration skills.

Jästbolaget was founded in 1893 and is today the leading producer and supplier of yeast and yeast-based products in the Nordic region, always with consideration for people and the environment. Production takes place through an advanced biochemical process in our automated facility north of Stockholm. We also conduct extensive development work to create new products and applications.
