Do you want to ensure that the Swedish Armed Forces soldiers have the right equipment at the right time?

We are now looking for employees for the unit for general maintenance equipment. In close collaboration with an experienced team, you will have the opportunity to influence both detail and overall in projects that strengthen the capabilities of the Armed Forces and Sweden. Your work is significant at every step, from needs and ideas to delivery and follow-up.

About the position

As an engineer, you will be involved in the entire cycle from procurement to maintenance of equipment within the area of general maintenance equipment. With us, you will work on several procurements simultaneously and be part of the entire chain from requirement specification to delivery. Examples of systems being procured include tool equipment, air environment equipment, and functional and transport containers. This includes, among other things, tool kits for repairs close to the front, functional containers for increased mobility, and solutions for additive manufacturing in the field – simply put, equipment that makes the Armed Forces' material last longer and contributes to a stronger defense over time.

Furthermore, the work includes designing design requirements, preparing procurement documents, drafting requests for proposals for procurements, evaluating incoming bids within the framework of LOU/LUFS, and following up on production. You will be involved from the idea stage to the delivery of a finished product to the Armed Forces and will be responsible for quality assurance, delivery controls, and handling of deviations, technical investigations, as well as technical documentation and maintenance preparations throughout the process. The operations are conducted in close collaboration with the Armed Forces and industry.

The position is located in Stockholm, and travel may occur both domestically and internationally.

About you

You have a degree as a civil or university engineer, officer, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that we assess as equivalent.

To succeed in the role, you have relevant and current work experience either as an engineer or if you have worked with similar tasks as a military or in another relevant field. We also see that you have worked in projects and have experience in conducting analyses, investigations, market surveys, and/or experience in writing reports.

Since there is a lot of contact with the Armed Forces and industry, it is a prerequisite that you have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, both in Swedish and English. Business travel, both domestic and international, may occur, which is why a B driver's license is required for the position. You are also accustomed to using the Office package.

Furthermore, it is advantageous if you have experience in one or more of the areas; systems engineering, integrated logistics support (ILS), configuration management, requirement specification, procurement, and verification of technical material, systems security, or information security declaration and information security. Likewise, if you have experience in maintenance preparations and technical documentation. It is an advantage if you have knowledge in the area of maintenance equipment and its technical solutions, knowledge of its application and integration into surrounding systems. If you have previous experience working with FMV, the Armed Forces, or the defense industry, it is advantageous but not a requirement.

Personal qualities are of great importance to us. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences and are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating, is attentive, and can solve problems constructively. You are proactive, drive projects forward, and find it easy to work together with colleagues in different roles. You are self-sufficient, structured, and plan and organize your work effectively. Furthermore, you have a flexible approach, are receptive to changes, and can quickly adapt to new conditions.
