Do you want to work in an international and business-critical environment within energy trading? We are now looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a background in Energy Trading for a qualified consulting assignment with one of our clients.
You will be part of a team of senior Business Analysts working on complex projects across multiple agile teams and business areas. The assignment has an international flavor and will initially focus on the Dutch market.
Your roleAs a Business Analyst, you act as the bridge between business and IT in an advanced energy trading environment. You drive requirements work from needs analysis to solution support and ensure that business goals are translated into clear, structured, and actionable requirements.
You work in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and parallel initiatives, often across borders.
Your responsibilitiesYour assignment includes, among other things:
Conducting stakeholder analyses and planning stakeholder dialogues
Identifying and documenting business needs through interviews, workshops, and analysis
Defining and structuring requirements and establishing success criteria
Modeling processes, use cases, and data models
Prioritizing and validating requirements together with the business
Ensuring traceability between requirements and business goals
Supporting solution design and development through requirement clarifications
Managing changes in requirements (impact analysis, documentation, approval)
Facilitating communication between business and technical teams
Supporting testing work and requirement-based verification
We are looking for someone who has:
Solid experience from Energy Trading, for example in:
Intraday markets
Congestion services
Balancing market access
Experience from continental markets (NL) as well as Nordic markets
Experience with ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management)
Academic education (university/college)
Fluent English in both spoken and written form (Swedish is a plus)
Ability to work structured and analytically in complex environments
You are curious, solution-oriented, and have a strong desire to understand the internal processes of the business in depth.
Desirable experiencesExperience with ENDUR
Previous work in similar roles at larger energy companies
Experience from Dutch and German markets
Experience working in larger agile organizations
Location: Flexible. Possibility to work 100% remote.
However, the consultant must be able to travel to meetings/workshops in Amsterdam, Hamburg, and Stockholm as needed.
Timeline and scopeStart: 2026-02-03 End: 2026-12-31 Scope: 40 hours per week
