Job Responsibilities

As a medical secretary/healthcare administrator at the medical clinic, you will work flexibly in a dynamic organization with many different tasks in change. The tasks include medical documentation in Cosmic for both doctors and nurses, as well as digital invitations, sampling forms, quality registers, etc. Your workplace is at the reception/ward where you will be involved in the daily operations and work together with both secretaries and other healthcare staff.

It also includes participating in the clinic's improvement work and being able to see potential and development in the daily work.

About the Workplace

The medical clinic's secretarial organization consists of a unit manager and 23 medical secretaries who work throughout the medical clinic.

The medical clinic offers internal medical basic healthcare and comprehensive specialist care to the residents of Västmanland. The clinic is divided into four sections that provide highly specialized care within internal medicine subspecialties as well as neurology. The secretarial organization is a standalone unit among the nine different units within the clinic.

The medical clinic's nine units consist of 5 wards and receptions belonging to their respective specialties. The medical clinic is characterized by close collaboration between sections and specialties. Wards and receptions work with a focus on teamwork and improved care flows. Over 550 employees work at the medical clinic, and the clinic has a turnover of over 1000 MSEK.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a recognized degree in Health and Medical Care Administration or equivalent medical secretary training. You have experience working as a medical secretary, preferably with journal documentation in Cosmic. Furthermore, you have knowledge of diagnosis coding (DRG), good computer skills, and experience with form services.

We would like you to be service-oriented, meticulous, and flexible. You enjoy collaborating in a team but are also self-reliant and confident in your work role. Personal maturity and a willingness to contribute to the development of a new organization are important qualities for succeeding in the role.

We are looking for you who are self-reliant and take responsibility for your tasks in a mature and structured way. You are meticulous, quality-conscious, and efficient, and have good knowledge of medical terminology and the Swedish language. Your ability to collaborate is good, and you relate to others in a responsive, calm, stable, and smooth manner. You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others flexibly. Great importance will be placed on personal qualities.

Employment Conditions

Permanent, full-time, daytime and a one-year temporary position, full-time, daytime. Start as soon as possible or by agreement. Place of employment: Västerås.
