Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a family counselor whose main task is to assist in processing relationship issues and conflicts through conversations, primarily in couple and family relationships. Relationship-oriented work with individuals, families, and groups may also occur. The assignment includes, in addition to offering conversations and providing guidance, also working preventively and outwardly when necessary.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work or a behavioral science degree from a university or college deemed equivalent by the employer
• Degree in Psychotherapy Training Level 1
• At least three years of work experience in social treatment work with families
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, and the ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing.

It is an advantage if you have previous work experience and knowledge of working with couples, as well as experience working with multiple people in the room. It is also valuable if you, in addition to Swedish and English, master other languages.

As a person, you are secure and stable with good self-awareness and can distinguish between the personal and professional. You are flexible and adapt your approach to the situation. When conditions change, you see opportunities in changes and have a constructive and solution-oriented attitude. It is important that you have good collaboration skills and are relationship-building. Furthermore, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks, have a strong customer focus, and are oriented towards performance and creating results.

About the Workplace

The Family Counseling in Malmö City is a municipal joint operation that belongs to the Labor Market and Social Administration. The operation offers couples help through conversations to find new opportunities and solutions to problems and conflicts. Family counseling operates under special confidentiality regulations, and clients seek help on their own initiative.

The workplace is located in central Malmö, and the group consists of eleven family counselors. We are now looking for an additional full-time colleague for one year due to a leave of absence. As a family counselor, you will be part of a competent and self-driven group with high professionalism and good collaboration.
