Service Housing in Staircase Model - Support Assistant/Support Educator

We are now opening a newly established service housing in staircase model according to LSS, focusing on safety, participation, and individualized support. Our operations target individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID) and psychiatric diagnoses, where we offer housing close to staff and support in daily life, all with respect for the individual's self-determination.

We are looking for someone who wants to be involved from the start and contribute to building an operation where each individual has the opportunity to grow and live as independently as possible.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will provide support and service to the users belonging to the service housing. It is important that you build relationships, get to know, and understand the needs and wishes that users have in their daily lives. You are expected to motivate, guide, and work supportively towards the users. The work is based on independence, participation, and must be performed with respect for the users' integrity and self-determination.

At the service housing, we work based on a low-arousal approach with a strong focus on clarifying pedagogy. You should strive, together with your colleagues, to develop a safe daily life for the users. It is important that you can see the users' perspectives and adapt your working methods accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements for the position:

• Trained support assistant or support educator
• Knowledge of NPF diagnoses and psychiatric conditions
• Experience working with the target group within LSS
• Works based on a low-arousal approach and a salutogenic attitude
• Is attentive, responsible, and secure in their professional role
• Driver's license (B)

You have an interest in working with people and need to be able to work closely with our users, for example, with personal hygiene. You have a good approach, are responsible, have an easy time collaborating, and are flexible in your work. It is essential to be able to work both independently and in a group, to follow routines, decisions, and action plans with the users' best interests in focus. It is a prerequisite that you can work with both women and men.
