Social Worker for School Social Team in Höör Municipality

In January 2024, Höör Municipality launched a school social team that includes staff from social services and the school. The purpose of the team's coordinated efforts is to contribute to students having higher attendance in school.

On July 1, 2025, we received a new social services law, and during 2025, two new employees were hired, one from the school and one from social services. As part of the transition work based on the new SoL, the team will now be expanded with an additional employee from social services. This means that the team will in the future consist of two full-time positions from social services and two full-time positions from the school.

The social worker's organizational home is the interventions and prevention unit within individual and family care, which consists of foster care (foster care secretary, child secretary) and open care (family therapists, youth therapists). The team is the link between school/student/caregiver and social services. To support this, we have a joint working group consisting of all team members and supervising managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work together with other resources in both school and social services with promoting and preventive measures to support young people with problematic school absenteeism. This may include support measures for caregivers, as well as facilitating communication and collaboration between caregivers and other actors surrounding the individual, such as health care and leisure sectors.

You will also work to increase students' well-being and actively work to enhance their enjoyment and attendance in school. You will work operationally with the student in focus together with school staff, caregivers, student health services, and other important actors.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills, who is flexible, solution-oriented, and has a good demeanor. Required qualities for the role include the ability to create and maintain relationships both externally and internally, the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, and the ability to adjust your demeanor according to the needs of others.

You have a degree in social work or equivalent education and experience in social work aimed at children and their caregivers. We prefer that you have experience with attendance-promoting measures and problematic school absenteeism. We want you to have the ability to plan and organize your work. You should easily set goals, organize resources, follow up, and complete activities. Since communication and documentation are part of your work, you need to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish.

OTHER

The position will be filled subject to the necessary political decisions being made and that it is not required for internal use.
