Are you a responsible and caring person interested in working as a personal assistant? Our client is a 13-year-old girl with Dravet syndrome who lives in Skegrie with her family. She needs a calm and secure environment around her and has her own section of the house with a separate entrance.

Currently, there are assistants who have worked with her for a long time because it is pleasant to work with the client. We are now looking for someone who wants to become a reliable and valuable assistant and colleague. We work according to daily routines, documentation, and have regular staff meetings.

The daily work consists of supporting the client in tasks she cannot do herself. Our client needs help with meal preparation and intake, personal hygiene, medication administration, and support in daily life as she may experience severe epileptic seizures of varying degrees. Above all, she needs a calm and quiet environment around her. One should be a calm person and be able to be structured and meticulous. She attends school on weekdays, and the assistant meets the school taxi at home when starting their shift. She enjoys listening to music, crafting, and painting. All introductions take place during evening shifts initially, and once comfortable, the right person may receive training during awake night shifts.

The Assistant's Role and Experience

As an assistant to this teenager, we are looking for someone who understands the importance of good cooperation with the client, family, colleagues, and the assistance provider. The person we seek should be responsible yet retain a childlike spirit. The most important thing is that you are the right person; that is our highest priority. The working hours are scheduled for both weekdays and weekends. We prefer someone who works with their heart and sees this job as long-term.

You need to be flexible regarding working hours as the team collaborates to manage staffing during illness or vacation. Preferred Experience

• Ketogenic diet and dietary treatment.
• Experience working with children.
• Epilepsy and Dravet syndrome.
• Trained healthcare professional, but not a requirement.
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

Working Hours/Employment Rate

• Immediate start.
• Employment rate 30%-50%.
• Working hours: Monday-Thursday 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Friday-Sunday 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM, awake night 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM, weekend 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
