Administrator at the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency
The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency is the leading, directing, and coordinating authority in civil defense. We ensure that society is prepared for crises, heightened readiness, and war.

As an employee with us, you will be part of the section working with resilience efforts. Your responsibilities and tasks
As an administrator, you will provide support to the section management and to section-wide administration that supports the section's efforts. You will also work on developing administrative routines and processes. You are expected to actively contribute to promoting sustainability in the section's administrative work. Depending on the section's current needs, part of the work may involve administration related to specific intervention projects. In such a role, you will work closely with project leaders on issues such as finance, travel booking, and handling time reports. Other tasks may also occur.
Your knowledge and competencies
We are looking for someone who has:
- A relevant academic degree or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
- At least 5 years of experience in administrative work.
- Knowledge of and experience with record-keeping and archiving.
- Excellent skills in expressing yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience from public operations.
- Experience in administration and/or handling of international aid efforts with knowledge of project logic and application processes for project funds.
- Knowledge of and experience with information classification.
- Experience in administrative development work, such as ensuring systematic, effective, and uniform administrative routines and processes.

About the employment
We offer you a fixed-term employment for 11 months with the possibility of extension.
Your workplace will be in Karlstad or Stockholm, and travel may occur in the employment.
The majority of our positions involve placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required. When placed in a security class, a security screening with a background check will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Most employees at the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency are designated for military service.
About us
The section for resilience efforts has employees both in Karlstad and Stockholm. The section's task is to direct, develop, and lead international resilience efforts. This includes ensuring funding for interventions, maintaining and developing partnerships, and following up and learning from conducted activities. Furthermore, it includes utilizing national expertise for work in other countries and organizations to enable retrieval effects and enhance the ability to prevent and rebuild, as well as create preparedness for effective management of risks, accidents, and crises.
We have an activity-based office where you can choose your workplace according to your needs. You may also have the opportunity for remote work to some extent.
