Your Workplace

The unit of Corporate Economics and Finance belongs to the Planning and Economics Department of Region Värmland, which has a total of about 100 employees.

The unit's mission is to develop and lead the region's processes in financial management, investments, regional healthcare collaboration, and follow-up through annual reports and interim reports. We are also responsible for standardizing accounting issues, economic management issues in larger projects, KPP (Cost Per Patient - analysis of healthcare data), and much more. Our work is directed both at the political organization and at the administration, aiming to create good conditions for effective economic and operational management.

Corporate Economics and Finance is a small unit where we work closely together, so it is important that we enjoy working together and strive for continuous development. Since each employee has unique tasks, it requires that everyone takes great responsibility for their assignment and role in the organization, while also being prepared to participate in the unit's common tasks and help their colleagues. In many matters, we collaborate with other functions within both economics and other areas of expertise, and we often represent the normative perspective in working groups and development projects.

Your Tasks

With us in the Planning and Economics Department, you will have the opportunity to combine your strategic thinking with operational responsibility, where you work closely with your colleagues to shape and streamline the region's economic processes.

The focus of the current position is directed towards financial issues such as cash management, debt management, developing and coordinating the region's investment process, but also contributing to issues related to corporate governance and the region's overall follow-up process.

You will also be involved in other tasks of the unit. You will work both individually and together with other units, support functions, and also the core operations in the region.

In your role with us, you will have an independent and varied position. You will have the opportunity to influence and develop Region Värmland's work in the financial area.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for someone with a relevant academic education in economics or equivalent experience that the employer deems comparable, preferably with a focus on finance. You need to have a few years of experience, preferably in a larger complex organization. You have experience in developing and driving processes forward. It is advantageous if you have experience in cash management, debt management, and corporate governance.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for someone with a very good ability to collaborate.

The position requires a high degree of independence and initiative, while it is also important that you enjoy collaborating with various people and groups. You also need to have a good ability to see both the big picture and the details, a numerical analytical ability, and be communicative with the ability to convey knowledge to others in a pedagogical manner.
