Mapei is a global, family-owned group in construction chemical products with a strong market position in Europe and the USA. In Sweden, the company has a turnover of approximately 290 million SEK and is a leading supplier to the professional market in construction and industry, including wet rooms and swimming pools. The department in Kristinehamn is an important hub for the Swedish operations with warehouse, order reception, customer service, and parts of the finance function consolidated.

About the Role
The finance function in Sweden currently consists of a finance manager and an accounting manager, with close collaboration with a Nordic controller based in Norway. The team needs reinforcement and has therefore created a new role as a finance assistant.
The role requires you to independently take responsibility for ongoing financial work with support from the accounting manager, who is also based in Kristinehamn. You report to the finance manager at the head office in Stockholm.
This is a role for you who enjoys taking responsibility, has an eye for detail, and wants to contribute to well-functioning financial flows in a business that invests long-term.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Accounts payable
- Invoice matching against purchases and deliveries
- Handling of incoming and outgoing payments, bank and account reconciliations
- Reminder and collection management
- Ongoing contact with the sales organization regarding financial matters
You will work in Dynamics AX but will transition to version 365 later in the year. Therefore, it is advantageous if you have experience with either of these systems.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in finance and a few years of experience in ongoing accounting or accounts payable. You are confident in the fundamentals, used to taking responsibility, and appreciate working in a structured and meticulous manner.
You have good system skills and are proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is considered an advantage if you have previous experience working in a manufacturing industry or the construction sector.
As a person, you are proactive, solution-oriented, and responsible. You have integrity, a humble attitude, and enjoy close collaboration with colleagues while being able to work independently.
