Legal Advisor at the Swedish Consumer Agency

As a legal advisor at the Swedish Consumer Agency, you will have the trust to make a difference for many.

In your work, you will help create a better everyday life for consumers who have purchased within the EU. We are now looking for reinforcement during the summer at Consumer Europe, which is part of the Swedish Consumer Agency and the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC), which has offices in 29 European countries.

About the Job

You will primarily provide legal information and advice, as well as mediate between consumers and businesses when problems arise in cross-border trade within the EU.

Examples of tasks:

  • Legal advice to consumers based on relevant legislation, primarily in writing but sometimes also by phone.
  • Mediation between consumers and companies.
  • Handling and registration of cases.
  • Other tasks within the agency.

Are you the one we are looking for?

You are studying at the law program and have completed at least three semesters. The work is carried out both in writing and by phone, and English is the working language within ECC, so it is essential that you have good knowledge of both Swedish and English. Experience in administrative work and case registration, as well as customer service experience, is an advantage. It is beneficial if you have a basic understanding of consumer rights.

We expect you to be engaged and willing to solve problems. You enjoy helping others and have a strong sense of service. You are very good at collaborating but can also work independently. You are structured, take responsibility, and drive your tasks forward.

Our Workplace

We trust each other's abilities. We learn and develop together in a humble and caring work environment. You are welcome to explore new paths in your work. Our values of courage, usefulness, and care are important to us. We value our differences, as they enrich our operations. If you want to work in an agency where we collectively take responsibility for operations, development, and collaboration – then you will thrive with us!

We have flexible working hours, and depending on the conditions of the operation, you have the opportunity to work partially remotely. Of course, we offer wellness time and wellness benefits.

About the Employment

Temporary position from June to August with start date as agreed. The workplace is in Karlstad.
