Job Responsibilities
As a group manager, you are a present and stable leader in the daily work of case managers in elderly care and disability support. You support through coaching, guidance, and clear priorities, creating structure, job satisfaction, and a sustainable work environment over time. You are responsible for case handling and make decisions according to delegation, focusing on lawful authority exercise and good quality. In close collaboration with the unit manager, you participate in planning, following up, and developing the operations. The role also includes some personnel responsibility, such as recruitment, onboarding, and employee and salary discussions. If necessary, you step in and support your group manager colleague in LSS and social psychiatry.
About the Workplace
The Social Administration in Nynäshamn Municipality provides individualized support to residents throughout their lives. In 2025, an organizational change was implemented to better meet the new Social Services Act, where all authority exercises were consolidated within clear areas of responsibility.
The unit for elderly care and disability support is responsible for processing applications according to SoL and LSS for both older and younger individuals with physical or mental disabilities. The unit employs case managers, housing coordinators, and method supporters. In total, we are about 25 employees and are led by a unit manager along with two group managers. The group you will be responsible for consists of 13 case managers in elderly care and disability support.
This is what we are looking for in you
To succeed in the role of group manager, you have:
- A degree in social work
- At least five years of experience in case management with a focus on the elderly
- Good knowledge of the Social Services Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, and other relevant legislation, knowledge of IBIC, as well as very good Swedish in speech and writing
- Experience in leadership within authority exercise, experience in LSS and social psychiatry, and knowledge of the operational system LifeCare are meritorious
