Accounting Manager

We are looking for a responsible and committed accounting manager who wants to help develop and streamline a complex and exciting financial operation.

Human Resources and Finance Unit

The unit consists of three functions (HR, finance, and procurement) that provide qualified support to the agency's managers and employees. The finance function is led by the finance manager and is responsible for the county administrative board's financial administrative processes, which include both operational and strategic issues. In addition to the finance manager, we have a controller and an accounting economist who work closely together.

Job Responsibilities

As an accounting manager, you will support managers and employees in financial matters. You will be responsible for the agency's accounting, monthly closings, and the financial parts of the annual report. You will also drive the work of developing and streamlining financial processes and routines, both within the function and across the agency. The role also includes qualified analyses and investigations.

The county administrative board uses the State Service Center for handling purchases and supplier invoices.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree in finance or another relevant education (e.g., KY education), or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer. You have several years of relevant experience in qualified accounting work within a government agency. You have also independently worked with monthly closings and the financial parts of the annual report within the government. Experience with the UNIT 4 ERP system is an advantage.

As a person, you work in a structured way by taking responsibility for your own work and organizing it efficiently. You are also flexible and can adapt to changing conditions. The work involves many contacts where you provide support in a service-oriented manner. You also have good collaboration skills. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Conditions

The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period, with start date according to agreement.
