Do you want to work in a socially important role where housing is at the center? As a housing broker at Uppsala Housing Agency, you work with something fundamental in people's lives: the opportunity for a home.
Do you want to help people all the way home – for real?
As a housing broker at Uppsala Housing Agency, you are often the first – and sometimes the most important – contact for people looking for their next home. You answer questions, guide through rules and systems, and ensure that both housing seekers and landlords receive a professional and secure response.
We are now looking for someone who enjoys service, structure, and meeting people, and who wants to work in a socially important role in an organization that continues to grow.
About the role
As a housing broker, you have a combined role where housing brokerage and service go hand in hand. You work closely with both housing seekers and landlords and ensure that homes are brokered in a clear and transparent manner. The brokerage occurs in our self-developed system, and you are responsible for the brokerage until tenant proposals are submitted to the landlord.
A large part of your day-to-day work involves meeting people. You are the face of the Housing Agency and have daily contact with housing seekers and landlords via phone, email, and visits. You ensure that every contact is characterized by clarity and a professional response. By working with both brokerage and service, you gain a holistic view and can provide quick, relevant, and clear assistance.
You handle administrative tasks related to each brokerage and become part of a team that together manages both quick everyday questions and more complex cases. The role also includes participating in events organized by us or our partners.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone with a high school education and at least two years of experience in customer service or another service profession that the employer deems equivalent. You have good computer skills and are used to working in various systems. You express yourself fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have good knowledge of English.
It is an advantage if you have experience in administrative work, work related to the housing or rental market, or if you have worked with system testing during upgrades and releases.
Education or experience in law, education, or experience in Tech, as well as language skills beyond Swedish and English, are also considered advantageous.
As a person, you are service-oriented, communicative, and pedagogical. You are confident in meeting people and can easily explain even complex information in a clear and understandable way. You enjoy collaborating with others, are flexible when circumstances change, and take responsibility for ensuring that your work maintains high quality.
