About the Position

We are looking for a Controller for a government authority in Stockholm. The authority's finance department, which works with controlling and financial management, needs reinforcement and relief, which is the basis for the current need. In this role, you will contribute to the management, monitoring, and analysis of finances and operations related to projects funded by external financing, i.e., projects financed by EU funds, Sida, or similar. This primarily involves budgeting and monitoring of the project as well as various administration tasks.

The work also includes reporting back to funders, monitoring project budgets, and reporting to auditors.

Assignment Period and Scope

The position of Controller is a full-time consulting assignment starting as soon as possible after the security clearance is completed. The assignment is initially expected to last for six (6) months, with the possibility of extension for an additional 6 + 6 months. This means that the total assignment length can extend up to 18 months from the start date.

The work takes place on-site at the authority's premises in Stockholm.

The authority conducts classified operations, which means that a background check followed by a security interview will be conducted with the final candidate.

Requirements for the Position:

High school diploma or equivalent education
Completed training in the relevant field
At least one (1) year of work experience as a controller
Experience as a controller in the finance area with experience in budgeting, monitoring, reporting, and analysis.
Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
Knowledge of analytical tools (e.g., QlikView, Insikt, and Power BI)
Knowledge of financial systems (e.g., Unit 4 ERP, Raindance, Visma, etc.)
Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
Experience working as a controller with projects funded by EU funds, Sida, or similar, including e.g., reporting back to funders, monitoring project budgets, and reporting to auditors.
Submit at least one reference project with documented experience of work comparable to this assignment, including monitoring and analysis of financial outcomes in relation to forecasts and budgets. The reference project can be ongoing or completed but not older than three months.
