Treatment Secretary at SiS Youth Home Bergsmansgården
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. Working with us at SiS will be an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Bergsmansgården receives non-compulsory school-age girls. We operate in Fjugesta, thirty kilometers west of Örebro, and have a satellite unit in Granhult, thirty kilometers north of Lindesberg. The girls come to us because they have psychosocial issues as well as problems with crime or drug abuse.
Job Description
As a treatment secretary at SiS Bergsmansgården Youth Home, you will have a varied and exciting job. As a treatment secretary, you are responsible for documentation and treatment planning in consultation with the youth, social services, and other functions in the treatment team, such as psychologists, nurses, etc. In this role, you are expected to lead planning, maintain contact with internal and external stakeholders to drive the youth's cases towards an independent life after placement. You will also plan and lead the institution's treatment collegium and guide treatment staff towards care and treatment goals in daily work. This places high demands on independence, the ability to prioritize, and drive processes forward. The position involves teamwork with other functions such as psychologists, teachers, treatment educators, etc.
Qualifications
The work places high demands on personal suitability, especially regarding interaction. You should have a genuine interest in treatment work, a solid positive view of humanity, and the ability to meet people in vulnerable situations while maintaining a high level of safety awareness. You must be flexible and prioritize tasks as the operations can shift quickly. Furthermore, you need to be able to work both independently and in a group.
Competence Requirements:
- A university degree of at least 210 credits in social sciences/behavioral sciences, e.g., a degree in social work, or a university degree of 180 credits in behavioral sciences, or another university education deemed to meet SiS guidelines for coordinating/planning treatment work.
- Knowledge and experience of treatment work with youth.
- A valid driver's license (B) is required.
Meritorious:
- Previous work in compulsory care, investigation, and authority exercise.
- Experience in leading staff and processes.
- Knowledge of legislation within SoL and school operations.
- Experience in collaboration with various authorities.

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
