Social Pedagogues for Karlskoga Folk High School (2 positions)
Do you want to help create a safe, inclusive, and functional school environment for young adults, where each participant has the opportunity to grow?
Karlskoga Folk High School is now looking for two social pedagogues who will contribute to a safe, inclusive, and functional learning environment for our students.
As a social pedagogue with us, your main task is to be a present, trustworthy adult who provides personal and reliable support in the school environment for participants with increased support needs. Through your presence and individualized support, you contribute to increased safety, well-being, and study focus. The focus is not on teaching, but on creating conditions that allow participants to thrive in their studies.
The work will involve, among other things:
- Building and maintaining trusting relationships with participants
- Being present in the school's various environments and contributing to safety and structure
- Providing situational and individualized support based on the participant's needs
- Supporting daily living and routines such as meals, hygiene, and daily structure, etc.
- Giving reminders, encouragement, guidance, and motivational conversations
- Providing support in the classroom when needed
- Offering support during mornings and evenings to participants living in the school's dormitory
You will share the role with another social pedagogue and will collaborate with the school's special educational team, teachers, and other staff.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a safe, clear, and present adult
- Has the ability to build trusting relationships
- Works flexibly and situationally with the individual in focus
- Can work independently and collaboratively in a team
- Believes that our participants can succeed based on their own conditions
- Can communicate openly and without pretension
- Has relevant education and experience as a social pedagogue or similar that the employer finds equivalent
Meritorious: Education, experience, and/or in-depth knowledge/experience of NPF diagnoses.
Scheduled working hours: Monday - Friday. Working hours are distributed throughout the day between the two positions to cover all parts of the participants' day. (morning to evening). No night or weekend shifts.

Permanent employment. We apply a probationary period of 6 months.

Karlskoga Folk High School is a movement folk high school with Equmeniakyrkan and the youth organization Equmenia as its main sponsors. During an academic year, we meet around 350 students in a wide range of courses. Our school offers opportunities for dormitory accommodation.
We also have a broad and extensive business operation consisting of a restaurant, hostel, and conference.
