About the Position
As a support assistant within housing with special services (BMSS), you have a coordinated responsibility where you plan, implement, and follow up on daily work.
Your main task is to offer tailored pedagogical support together with your colleagues that contributes to a meaningful, independent, and developing life in accordance with LSS.
At Lektorpsvägen, you will provide individual support to three service users in daily activities, which includes everything from personal care and home life to accompanying them on activities and outings. You will work motivationally and use clarifying pedagogy and the Handy tool to help structure daily life. We work to create conditions for individuals to reach their own goals.
There may be pets in the workplace.
Examples of Responsibilities:
- be responsible for finding suitable activities/tasks in consultation with the service users and developing them based on their needs
- perform care tasks and, based on delegation, some medication management
- perform service tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, etc.
- collaborate with relatives and others in the service user's network, nurses, occupational therapists, and other actors such as the region
- document regularly in the organization's documentation system and review existing documentation
- establish and follow up on implementation plans
- participate in workplace meetings and other meetings
About the Workplace
Lektorpsvägen 10 is a group home located in Adolfsberg where you will currently provide person-centered support to three service users. The group home has a close collaboration with psychiatry, and all new staff receive training in dialectical behavior therapy.
The Social Administration area of functional support provides assistance and services to individuals with physical and mental disabilities according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL).

Qualifications
For this role, we see that you need to be stable and secure in yourself, able to remain calm and think clearly even in pressured situations, as well as being accommodating and empathetic in your interactions with others. Collaboration with your team and your manager is crucial for success in the role, so we are looking for someone who is attentive and flexible in their communication. Being part of shaping an organization is an exciting journey, but it also requires adaptability and the ability to see opportunities in change.
Independence and structured work are important qualities to thrive in the role. You need to have a very good understanding of your role and the person you are there for, as well as being able to adapt your way of communicating based on the service user's individual circumstances and daily well-being. Since challenging behaviors occur in this environment, you need to have the motivation and drive to overcome obstacles and take on various challenges.
Furthermore, you must have a good command of the Swedish language to communicate with the service user and other staff, as well as to document what the organization requires. Good computer skills are also necessary for documentation.
We place great importance on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- nursing assistant education or equivalent (child and leisure program with a focus on pedagogical and/or social work)
- driver's license (manual transmission)
- ability to cycle
Meritorious:
- documented experience of working with people with disabilities
- documented experience of working with individuals on the autism spectrum
- experience of working with clarifying communication (e.g., according to AKK or VISA)
- experience and/or training in MI (motivational interviewing)
Scope and Start Date
Employment type: permanent position
Employment rate: 100%
Start date: by agreement
Number of positions and working hours: 1 position involves day, evening, and every other weekend, 2 positions involve only evening shifts and every other weekend
