Description
Do you want to make a difference for our children and youth? We are now looking for two employees for our new school social team. The positions are full-time, daytime, and involve close collaboration between the school and social services.
We believe that a safe and functioning school experience is the foundation for a positive future. The mission of the school social team is to work early, preventively, and proactively to increase school attendance and strengthen students' mental and social well-being.
As part of the team, you will work cross-professionally with students, guardians, and school staff. The positions will be filled simultaneously but with separate employment within each administration.
Job Responsibilities
The team works together to:
- Prevent and reduce school absenteeism through early and coordinated interventions.
- Provide support to students and guardians.
- Supervise school staff and contribute to competency-enhancing initiatives.
- Conduct training and informational sessions for parents and staff.
- Establish the team's working methods, structures, and routines.
Position 1 – Social Worker, placement within Social Services
As a social worker, you are the link to social services. You work with individually tailored interventions for students at risk of school absenteeism. The work includes motivational work, family conversations, and coordination of interventions from social services and other actors. You contribute with a systemic perspective and a good understanding of children's and youth's life situations.
Position 2 – Social Pedagogue / Social Worker / Behavioral Scientist, placement within the School
In this role, you are part of the school's student health team. You work closely with students and educators with promoting and preventive initiatives, identify early signs of school absenteeism, and provide psychosocial support. You lead group activities and work on relationship-building at both individual and group levels to create a safe school environment.
Qualifications
Requirements – Position 1
- Degree in social work or another higher education that the employer considers equivalent.
- Experience in social work with children, youth, and their families.
- Good knowledge of the Social Services Act and its application.
- Good communication skills and experience handling complex situations.
- Driver's license (B).
Requirements – Position 2
- Degree as a social pedagogue, social worker, behavioral scientist, or another equivalent higher education. Experience and good knowledge of working in a school environment.
- Ability to work with groups and build relationships with students and guardians.
- Good communication skills and experience handling complex situations.
- Driver's license (B).
Meritorious (both positions)
- Experience of collaboration between different authorities.
Personal Qualities
You are driven, solution-oriented, and have a strong belief in collaboration. You work independently but thrive in a team where you collectively drive development forward. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Conditions
The positions will be filled in August 2026 or by agreement. We apply ongoing selection, and the positions may be filled before the application deadline.
