Description

We are looking for a social worker for the adult and financial support group in Ljusnarsberg Municipality.

The work involves primarily processing assistance for adults such as applications for financial assistance as well as estate notifications.

IFO in Ljusnarsberg is tasked with providing good and legally secure service to the municipality's residents. The organization is functionally divided into adult and financial support, child and family, assistance for the elderly and disabilities, and labor market.

You will have access to wellness grants, flexible working hours, and the opportunity to work remotely. The organization provides external supervision.

Job Responsibilities

The work involves supporting and empowering individuals to enter the labor market and increasing the possibility of self-sustaining income. We place great value on social work and meet clients in their current situations. The position also includes processing estate notifications.

You will belong to a workgroup with several social workers, led by a senior social worker and unit manager. In this role, you will have the opportunity to follow the individual from the first application to self-sufficiency. You will have significant opportunities to shape the rehabilitative work together with the client and partners.

Your main job responsibilities include:

  • Investigating the individual's resources and barriers to self-sufficiency
  • Processing and documenting applications for financial assistance
  • Making decisions according to SoL based on the current delegation order
  • Working in a coaching and supportive manner with the individual where the goal is self-sufficiency through work, studies, or other compensation.
  • Focusing on supporting individuals in change processes through motivational work
  • Collaborating internally and externally
  • Calling for SIP meetings and other network meetings.
  • Receiving and processing inquiries about estate notifications
  • Investigating if there are assets in the estate
  • Investigating financial assistance for funeral costs
  • Responsible for provisional management of the estate's assets and burial if estate heirs are missing
  • Processing and distributing own funds

You will have the opportunity to perform practical social work with a focus on the citizen. It is an exciting and varied job where you will collaborate extensively with both internal and external parties. As we are a small municipality, the paths to each other are short, and we work with flexible solutions to meet the individual needs of our citizens.

The position also includes providing information, advice, contact with other authorities, and qualified investigative work. External supervision is offered.

The adult and financial support group consists of 3.0 social workers.

Qualifications

You have a degree in social work or another equivalent/relevant education for the position. You have experience working as a social worker with authority exercise and knowledge of the target group and relevant legislation. Documentation and investigation are important parts of the work, so you need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you also have experience from other areas within individual and family care.

Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability. Working in a small municipality means that you naturally take responsibility and contribute to developing the organization. Being service-oriented and having a flexible approach is important as the work often involves urgent decisions. You find it easy to work independently and are also a good collaborator. You express yourself easily in both speech and writing and have a strong personal drive.
