The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse, across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. No matter where in our organization you work, or what position you hold, you help create life-changing transformations.

SiS LVM Home Rällsögården accepts men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse, in combination with mental health issues.

Job Description

At SiS, we work to create change where it is needed the most. As a treatment pedagogue, you have the opportunity to be part of something bigger – a vital effort for vulnerable people. At Rällsögården, we are in the midst of an exciting transformation journey. We are growing and strengthening our operations and are now looking for engaged employees who want to be part of that journey.

As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team together with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators. Together, you are responsible for ensuring that the clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified care and motivational work and provide support in everyday life. With the support of your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the fulfillment of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work. You contribute to maintaining safety according to our routines. Being a contact person is also one of your tasks. The work may also include mentoring new employees.

For those who want to make a difference, this is more than just a job. It is an opportunity to meet vulnerable people where they are. The work is challenging but also filled with meaning, variety, and moments that energize.

Working hours are according to a schedule; day, evening, and weekend.

As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with a guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.

Our vision is to be a place for change, and this permeates our approach, our commitment, and our attitude. At SiS, we care about good employee engagement. This means that you as an employee take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good collaboration. Read more about our employee engagement.

Qualifications

For us, your personal qualities are crucial. You have a strong, positive view of people and a genuine desire to support individuals in vulnerable situations. You are good at creating engagement and participation among clients. You easily build relationships, both with clients and with your colleagues. Your calmness and ability to collaborate strengthen the team and help resolve conflicts constructively.

You should also have:

  • A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or education from a university that we assess as equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license (B).

Meritorious:

  • Experience working with individuals in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or within LSS.
  • Education in care and social services.
