The Education Administration is responsible for the municipality's childcare and educational activities from preschool and after-school care to preschool class, primary school, and adapted school.

We are now looking for substitute teachers for Askersund's preschools. As a substitute in preschool, we offer you a varied job where you meet competent colleagues and wonderful children, and you play an important role in creating a safe and learning environment.

Askersund's preschools consist of 12 preschools in 8 locations: Askersund, Hammar, Olshammar, Rönneshytta, Snavlunda, Zinkgruvan, Åmmeberg, and Åsbro.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The tasks mainly consist of practical and pedagogical work to stimulate children's development, safety, and learning. The work is based on the preschool curriculum and other governing documents that regulate the activities. As a substitute, you follow the daily activities and, together with the staff, structure the day so that it is safe and educational for the children.

QUALIFICATIONS

We need you when regular staff are sick, on vacation, or otherwise absent. As a substitute, you may be booked at short notice on the days you have indicated you are available to work. This can involve bookings for shorter or longer assignments. You enter the times you can work in TimeCarePool yourself. When you are booked, you will receive a message via SMS with information about where and when you will work. For this to work, you must have a mobile phone so that we can offer you work. The job can be combined with studies or other activities.

We are looking for someone who:

• has pedagogical education such as a preschool teacher degree or other educational qualifications that the employer considers equivalent. Ongoing studies in early childhood education or teacher programs and experience in our operations are meritorious.
• has completed upper secondary education.
• is at least 18 years old.
• is proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, in a way that allows you to communicate with children, staff, and relatives.
• has a B driver's license (access to a personal vehicle is an advantage but not a requirement).

To work in preschool, you must, by law, submit an extract from the police criminal record. You request the extract from the Police Authority's criminal record: Extract for work in schools or preschools 442.5 here (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/skola-eller-forskola/).

We place great importance on your personal suitability, where a positive attitude and a pleasant demeanor are important qualities.
