Novum is a nationwide personal assistance provider operating on a Christian value foundation, with the ambition to make a difference for the individual, the industry, and society.

As part of Novum Assistans, you are an engaged employee through regular workplace meetings where task development takes place. As an assistance agency, we create the conditions for the tasks that assistance requires, with ongoing competence development based on the needs of the assignment. As an assistant, you thus have the opportunity for personal development both as an individual and in your professional role as a personal assistant.

Working hours vary between day, night, and weekends. During the day, two assistants always work together.

The client is a man in his mid-40s who uses a wheelchair. He leads an active life with many activities and has his own car, which creates freedom in daily life. During the summer, the client enjoys his vacation together with his assistants, and many different day trips are made. The assistant group is well-functioning, with assistants who stay for a long time.

The assignment includes being the client's support in everything from daily chores, care, and personal hygiene to activities. Experience of similar care work and/or having a nurse assistant education is an asset.

Who are you as an applicant?

We are looking for someone with personal suitability for the assignment. For us, this means that you are responsible, empathetic, and responsive. It is important that you are punctual and can keep to schedules but also flexible enough to occasionally step in to cover staffing gaps. We see that you are a secure person and enjoy taking initiatives, both independently and in collaboration with others in the group.

As a person, you are social, goal-oriented, responsive, patient, and able to take your own initiatives. It is also desirable that you have good physical fitness and are cheerful and positive. The personal chemistry and interaction between you as an assistant and the client are decisive for the quality and experience of the work.

You will receive training and introduction to the medical tasks and ongoing competence development based on the needs of the assignment.

About the Employment

Summer temporary position and on-call employment during the spring.

On-call employment based on hourly rates and as needed.

We offer a fixed hourly wage according to agreement. Other benefits according to the collective agreement.

The selection process is ongoing, and more information about the assignment will be provided during a potential interview. Start date is by agreement. For employment with Novum Assistans, you must have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the service.
