Field Assistant for Youth in Kumla

We are looking for someone who wants to work outreach with our youth in Kumla. The role of a field assistant is a challenging, important, and fun job.

The field group currently belongs to Youth Leisure and the Culture and Leisure Administration. In addition to the field group, Youth Leisure also consists of seven leisure leaders who also work with Kumla's youth, all of whom will be your closest colleagues. The field group currently consists of two full-time field curators, and now we are looking for someone who wants to work extra as needed alongside them.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a field assistant, you will work, together with a colleague, outreach in the environments where young people are present. The goal of the work is to create safety for young people through relationship-building and to catch individuals who are on the verge of developing socially destructive behavior. The work involves close collaboration with other staff in the unit as well as external partners such as the police, social services, and schools in Kumla. The work is scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. Strengthening the work with leisure leaders and working for the best interests of the youth in Kumla will also be an important part of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is studying or is a social worker, behavioral scientist, or has equivalent education, preferably with experience working with youth.

The job involves a lot of contact creation and relationship building, both with the young people, their parents, and our partners. Therefore, we expect you to be an outgoing and creative person who is good at collaborating. We also see that you need to be structured, responsible, and flexible. This is because the group largely plans and organizes its work independently. You also need to drive the work in the direction that is needed, as we live in a highly changing society where the service constantly needs to develop to meet the needs of our youth.

A manual driving license B is a requirement. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
