About Unika

Do you want a meaningful summer job where you truly make a difference in people's lives? We are now looking for summer substitutes for our group homes and assistance solutions at Unika in Örebro and Laxå!

With us, we work within group housing LSS, target group 1 and 2 as well as personal assistance. We support individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism in their daily lives, aiming to create security, participation, and quality of life.

Our group homes and assistance solutions are located in Örebro and Laxå.

  • Mosås group home

  • Ekeby-Almby group home

  • Norra Bro group home

  • Porla group home

  • Porla assistance

About the role of Support Assistant

As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to individuals with disabilities, aiming to promote their independence and well-being in everyday life. You will support users in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, focusing on each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for users to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you will work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal responses to create security and predictability in users' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the resources and budget of the organization.

Qualifications

You are relationship-building, calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive manner, enjoying working with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:
  • Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

  • Good computer skills, experience with documentation.

  • Experience in healthcare and social care

  • High school education such as child and leisure program, healthcare and social care program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or university education in a relevant field.

It is an advantage if you also have:
  • Experience in psychiatry, AAC, and low-arousal responses.

  • Worked with complex support needs.

Employment conditions

Employment type: Summer substitute Working hours: Varying (80-100%) Working time: Varying (day, evening, weekend, and awake night) Start date: By agreement, we view positively if you can start shortly and begin a temporary position before your summer substitute role. Collective agreement: We are bound by the collective agreement with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.
