Treatment Assistant at SiS LVM Home Rällsögården

The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. Working with us at SiS will be an exciting challenge. SiS LVM Home Rällsögården receives men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse, in combination with mental health issues.

Job Description

At SiS, we work to create change where it is needed the most. As a treatment assistant, you will have the opportunity to be part of something bigger - a life-saving effort for vulnerable people. At Rällsögården, we are in the midst of an exciting transformation journey. We are growing and strengthening our operations and are now looking for dedicated employees who want to be part of this journey.

As a treatment assistant, you will work together with treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators. Together, you are responsible for ensuring that the clients who live with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you will work with qualified care and motivational work and provide support in daily life. Documentation is an important part of your work. You contribute to maintaining safety according to our routines.

Working hours are according to a schedule for days, evenings, weekends, and nights.

As a new employee, you will undergo an introduction. The introduction includes both physical parts such as conflict management training, introduction to the departments, and theoretical training to give you the best possible conditions to work with us.

Qualifications

Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of humanity, great empathetic ability, and the ability to create good relationships. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.

You should also have:

  • At least a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or other education equivalent to this. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or other relevant subject areas.
  • Driver's license B
  • Good Swedish in speech and writing

Meritorious:

  • Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or within LSS
  • Education in care and nursing
  • Experience working within SiS

Employment:

The position is a part-time employment, starting by agreement.
