The Social Administration works to ensure that all citizens can receive the support they may need in various situations. This is done within the framework of social services' mission and various legislations, as well as based on the values of the Social Administration. This may involve home care, special housing, advice and support for people with disabilities, financial assistance, or help with addiction problems. The administration also includes the municipality's competence supply unit.

The position is organized within the Child and Youth Welfare Unit, the authority group.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a case officer, you will investigate and decide on applications for assistance according to LSS. The position also includes investigating and deciding on assistance according to SoL concerning individuals with psychiatric/neuropsychiatric issues (social psychiatry).

Your job will include:

  • informing and guiding individuals and relatives about rights, support, and services
  • describing the application process and ensuring that the user understands their opportunities for participation
  • receiving, registering, and processing applications
  • conducting needs assessments and investigations
  • collecting information through conversations, home visits, and collaboration with other actors
  • assessing and making decisions about services in accordance with applicable legislation, guidelines, and case law
  • documenting clearly and legally securely in our operational system
  • following up on decided services from a quality perspective

QUALIFICATIONS

You should have a degree in Social Work or another education that the employer deems equivalent. You must be able to communicate and document in good formal Swedish.

It is advantageous if you have knowledge of IBIC and the operational system Lifecare as well as LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons).

Knowledge of disabilities and individuals with psychiatric issues is also advantageous.

Driver's license (B).

Since this is a case officer position that makes authority decisions, you need to be able to structure your work based on applicable legislation and have an analytical ability to see connections in complex information or environments. You need to be secure and stable as a person since your work is mostly carried out independently. You will have many points of contact and be part of the authority group, which requires you to be collaborative.

To work in user- and patient-related roles, you must provide a criminal record extract from the police. You should request the extract from the National Police Board using the form "Extract from the Criminal Record" available on the police website.
