About the Position
As a support teacher, you are a driving force in the organization. You work with perspectives on both individual and group levels and support the service recipient based on goals and approved interventions, as well as adapt the operations based on one or more service recipients' needs. You perform care interventions and tasks based on self-care and delegation, such as medical, rehabilitative, and habilitative interventions, as well as medication management. Your role includes guiding colleagues in various methods and approaches, planning, implementing, evaluating, and analyzing working methods and approaches in the workgroup.
Examples of Job Duties:
- Guide colleagues in methods and approaches
- Perform care interventions and tasks based on self-care and delegation
- Support and coordinate colleagues to become independent in the work of establishing and following up on implementation plans
- Supervise colleagues regarding professional ethical dilemmas and pedagogical approaches with reflection as a working method
- Coordinate collaboration with relatives and interdisciplinary teams
- Introduce new employees and supervise students based on your professional role
About the Workplace
Nordanåsvägen 23 is a group home with 7 apartments, geographically located about 7 km south of Örebro in a quiet area with green spaces surrounding it. Here, you will be welcomed by 10 colleagues, and you will receive a tailored introduction to your role as a support teacher.
The Social Administration's area of functional support provides assistance and services to individuals with physical and mental disabilities according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL).

Qualifications:
As a support teacher, it is important that you are secure in yourself and can distinguish between the personal and the professional. You take responsibility for your work and can plan, organize, and prioritize effectively, even when the work pace is high. You are someone who sees opportunities in changes and contributes ideas and new ways of working.
The work involves a lot of contact with people, which requires you to have good collaboration skills and be attentive in your interactions. We also see that you have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and adapt to convey the message to the recipient in the best possible way. You master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with the service recipient and other staff. Furthermore, you have good computer skills and can document in writing what the organization requires.
We place great importance on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- Higher vocational education as a support teacher, treatment assistant, treatment pedagogue, social pedagogue, or activation pedagogue. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits in relevant subjects (such as pedagogy, disabilities, psychology, behavioral science, social work, or equivalent)
- At least two years of experience working in the area of functional support
Meritorious:
- Experience in supervising and coaching
- Experience in establishing and working with implementation plans
- Experience in leadership or development work
- Knowledge of and experience working with IBIC (individual needs in focus)
- Knowledge of and experience working with clarifying pedagogy, such as AAC and VISA
- Training in or experience working based on MI (motivational interviewing)
- Driver's license (B)
Scope and Start Date
Employment type: permanent position
Employment rate: 100%
Start date: as soon as possible/according to agreement
Number of positions: 1
Working hours: day, evening, and every other weekend
