Social Worker for Youth Services

About the Position

As a social worker with us, you will work based on assignments or assistance assessments from the social services investigation office. We provide outpatient services to youth aged 11 to 19 years and their families. We offer qualified outpatient interventions where you will work with both individual and family conversations. The youth we meet may face challenges related to relationships, mental health issues, crime, substance abuse, or school problems, and the interventions are tailored to the individual youth and family's needs.

With us, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the youth, build trusting relationships, and contribute to sustainable changes over time!

Examples of Tasks:

  • design and implement interventions based on assignments and the youth's specific issues
  • document and follow up on interventions
  • collaborate with other service providers in the interventions
  • execute court orders within youth care and community service
  • provide counseling

About the Workplace

The youth treatment group collaborates with the Support and Treatment for Children unit, Outpatient Care for Children and Youth, which has two unit managers and three group leaders. The workplace is centrally located at Slottsgatan 10, and you will be welcomed by a team characterized by responsibility, humility, and high ambitions.

Qualifications

In the role of social worker, you are calm and secure in yourself. You are flexible in that you can easily adapt to changing circumstances. It is important that you are attentive in your interactions with others and that you can understand others' perspectives and situations without losing your professional integrity. To thrive, you should be someone who appreciates working in a team with shared responsibility but also has the ability to independently drive your work forward. Furthermore, the job requires good communication skills, meaning you can express yourself clearly in both speech and writing and document what the organization requires.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • degree in social work (210 credits)
  • driver's license for manual transmission

Desirable:

  • documented experience in treatment work with youth
  • documented experience in working with crime and substance abuse
  • documented experience in authority exercise within social services' individual and family care
  • documented experience in working according to Signs of Safety
  • knowledge and experience in network and systems theory
  • knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Scope and Start Date

Employment type: temporary

Employment rate: 100%

Start date: April 15 or by agreement - until March 1, 2027
