Support Assistant in Daily Activities

About the Position
As a support assistant in daily activities, you have a coordinated responsibility where you plan, implement, and follow up on the daily work. Your role involves being present, providing support, being a source of security, and placing the needs of the service recipient at the center. In daily activities, we work based on methods of low-affect responses and clear pedagogy, which aim to make the world as clear and predictable as possible.
At Filtergruppen, you will be welcomed by a small workgroup that shares a great joy in working with the participants. Your work will vary between being at the facility and going with the participants to pick up work materials, which are then packaged at the facility. Your role as a support assistant includes supporting these activities. You will also have a mentoring role for a number of participants.
Examples of Job Duties:
- Support the service recipient in their activities in a pedagogical manner
- Plan and develop the work independently and together with the workgroup
- Collaborate with relatives and others in the service recipient's network, such as nurses, occupational therapists, and other actors like the region
- Document regularly in the facility's documentation system and review existing documentation
- Participate in workplace meetings and other gatherings
- Have knowledge of and follow the facility's applicable laws, policies, and routines
About the Workplace
Filtergruppen's daily activities are located at Skjutbanevägen 6 in Bettorp. Nearby, there is a bus stop, and it is possible to bike from the center and other parts of Örebro. Here, you will be part of a small workgroup with extensive knowledge.
The Social Services Department's area of functional support provides assistance and services to individuals with physical and mental disabilities according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL).

Qualifications
As a support assistant with us, you are a secure and stable person. You have the ability to meet service recipients in a professional manner by being calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach. You collaborate well with others and relate to them in a responsive and flexible way. Furthermore, you have a positive view of humanity with great respect for each person's individual needs. You master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with the service recipient and other staff, as well as document what the facility requires in writing. Good computer skills are also required for documentation.
We place great importance on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- Certified nursing assistant education or equivalent to the child and leisure program (focus on pedagogical and/or social work)
- Good knowledge of sign language
- Communicate in Swedish verbally with service recipients and relatives who do not master sign language
- Driver's license (manual transmission)
Meritorious:
- Documented experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Experience with low-affect responses
- Forklift license
