Social Worker for the Support Housing Hjorten

We are now looking for a social worker for a temporary position at the support housing Hjorten!

About the Position

As a social worker at Hjorten, you will work in a team with treatment assistants, group leaders, and two fellow social workers. The target group at Hjorten is broad and consists of both homeless adult women and men who cannot obtain their own housing in the regular housing market. Most clients have a documented dependency issue, which may involve meetings with individuals in an impaired state. The purpose of the operation is to offer temporary housing support until the client has achieved the goal for another housing solution. The assignment is to work with individualized psychosocial support through motivational interviewing where the motivation levels of the clients vary.

Examples of Job Responsibilities:

• establish implementation plans based on the care plan that the client has
• write journal notes
• have primary responsibility for contacts with clients and other stakeholders/providers
• conduct structured psychosocial support conversations
• participate in the work with the residents' budget and debt situation
• be a knowledge engine in the process work with clients

About the Workplace

The target group for the operation is homeless adults who cannot obtain their own housing in the regular housing market. Those living in the support housing have not made a decision to live sober and drug-free, which may involve meetings with individuals in an impaired state. The purpose of the operation is to offer temporary housing support until the client has achieved the goal for another housing solution.

The operation has several different focuses, including work with vulnerable women, which is a significant part of the job. The staff at Hjorten consists of a group leader, six treatment assistants, and one social worker.

Qualifications

You can be described as a calm and stable person with interest, willingness, and ability to help others. As a person, you are secure in yourself and attentive in your interactions with others. You prefer to work in a team with shared responsibility but can also act independently and drive the work forward in a structured manner. You have the ability to understand someone else's perspective or situation without taking over the person's feelings. You master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to clearly adapt how you convey your message to the recipient and can document in the manner required by the operation. The workplace can occasionally be perceived as stressful as many parallel processes occur simultaneously, and therefore you should be a person who is resilient to stress.

Requirements:

• degree in social work of 210 credits
• driver's license (B)
• good computer skills

Meritorious:

• practical documented professional experience in social work related to psychosocial support concerning dependency
• experience working with cases of violence in close relationships
• experience working with vulnerable women
• MI training
• documentation experience in Procapita or another equivalent documentation tool
