We are now looking for personal assistants who want to work with our client in Karlskoga on a scheduled basis and as substitutes during illness or other leave.

The client is a 10-year-old boy with autism and intellectual disabilities. He is non-verbal but communicates through pictures, iPad, signs, and some words. He enjoys playing and being outdoors and is very physically active in all weather. He likes to swim, go to play areas, and relax. He needs support and help with personal care and requires someone to be close to him at all times to provide the assistance he needs.

We believe that you, as an applicant, are self-assured, calm, playful, empathetic, proactive, and able to anticipate and assess potential risks. You also need to have great patience. Since the client is physically active, you need to keep up with his pace. We believe that you are self-driven and motivated, which enables you to help the client progress with a positive attitude towards daily activities.

We are looking for someone who can work every other weekend on a scheduled basis and work more during school breaks and as needed.

• Experience in care or work as a personal assistant

• Training in autism/low-arousal approach

• Driver's license

• Swedish language skills are important.

• Preferably sign language support

• Employment type: Fixed-term employment / substitute employment.

• Extent: Part-time.

• Working hours: every other weekend approximately 9 AM to 5 PM and during school breaks.

• Start date: immediately after agreement.

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
