The Social Services Department in Askersund Municipality is responsible for elderly care, LSS and care services, social psychiatry, as well as individual and family care.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for someone who wants to help start a completely new personal assistance group.

• As a personal assistant, your task is to support the person entitled to assistance in daily life based on their decisions, needs, and wishes.
• You support the person in communication and in collaboration with their network.
• You collaborate with other professionals and, by delegation, perform medical, rehabilitative, habilitative interventions as well as medication management by delegation or self-care.
• You assist the person with personal care, transfers, home life, leisure, social contacts, healthcare contacts, or other tasks based on the person's decisions.
• You document, report incidents and deviations, and are responsible for ongoing work with implementation plans.
• As the work as a personal assistant may involve working alone, you should feel comfortable with this.

The person entitled to assistance is a woman and prefers female applicants.

There are pets in the home.

Working hours are scheduled for weekdays, evenings, and weekends, including holidays.

2 of the positions will be night shifts.

Probationary employment may be applied.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Care education at the high school level, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• You must master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with the person entitled to assistance and other staff as well as document what the operation requires.
• As you will be working in the home of the person entitled to assistance, it is important to be able to collaborate with any relatives and other assistants.
• You should be attentive and put the person's needs at the center.
• You should be stable and able to handle stressful situations.
• You should be calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach.
• You are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances.
• You also express a positive attitude towards your work and act in accordance with decisions made, goals, and guidelines.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
