Our client Josefine is soon to be 27 years old and lives with her parents and brother in Ekeby between Kumla and Örebro. A mild developmental disability and difficult-to-treat epilepsy mean she needs an assistant by her side 24/7. She has her own car, and it is her assistants who drive – so a manual driving license is a must, and you must also have access to your own car to reach the client, as there is no good bus service in the countryside.

Like many other young adults, her daily life includes a mix of everyday tasks such as cooking, which Josefine does at least once a week. As her assistant, you will cook together with Josefine and support/help her throughout the process from grocery shopping to cooking. What adds joy to Josefine's life are floorball, motocross, skiing, and travel, which she truly appreciates. Josefine also enjoys quiet evenings at home, watching movies and playing games.

Role and Experience of the Assistant

We prefer female applicants as Josefine feels most comfortable with that and also needs practical help with certain intimate matters. Assistants also support communication and ensure structure, as the client sometimes has difficulty maintaining focus. If you have experience in similar work, we see it as a plus, but the most important factor is the chemistry between you and the client. As an assistant, you will work where the client is located. There are pets in the home, so you must not have pet allergies. With you as an assistant, there are surely new adventures to discover together!

Desirable Experiences

• Swedish spoken and written.
• Driving license B.
• Experience in similar work.
• Experience with epilepsy.

Working Hours/Employment Rate

• On an hourly basis – extra as needed during the regular assistant's sick leave and vacation.
• Start immediately.
• Hourly employment may eventually be extended to a part-time position of 97.5%.
