About Magelungen Örebro

Magelungen Heldag in Örebro works on behalf of the Social Services. The operation is aimed at young people aged 10–18 who need support in their psychosocial and academic development, as well as their guardians. The operational model is based on three parts - individual treatment, family treatment, and resource school. We are now looking for a family therapist as a central focus in the operation is family treatment.

Magelungen Heldag is organized based on transprofessional teams consisting of family therapists, youth therapists, and mentors. The family therapist co-creates change and development processes that enable support for the young person's social and emotional development. Magelungen Heldag in Örebro is based on a systemic foundation with a mentalizing approach and has over the years built further experience with theories and methods relevant to the target group.

About the Position

As a Family Therapist, you will have a varied job. Through the daily operational environment, continuous conversations with the young person and their guardians, and various forms of staff forums, change and development are co-created based on set treatment and school goals. The family therapist works closely with the parents during the young person's stay at Magelungen and ensures that the family's perspectives and resources are made visible and strengthened. The work requires openness and good collaboration skills, resilience, flexibility, and a creative approach. You will be involved in quality assurance and competence development and, together with your colleagues, carry the development work of the operation forward. Qualifications

We want you to share our thoughts on a systemic and salutogenic approach where respectful interaction, strengthening of resources, and competence of those we meet are the main focus. Based on the young people/families we meet, it also requires that you as a person have good self-awareness and an open, exploratory, and curious approach. The treatment effort is carried out in collaboration with many different actors, which is why you should also have a good ability to collaborate.

You are clear in your communication both orally and in writing, and you are good at building relationships with different people, both regarding the young people and their families, colleagues, and external actors. You enjoy feeling responsible and managing your mandate, as well as finding new solutions together with others through dialogue.

You have an academic degree (social worker/behavioral scientist) with previous experience in psychosocial treatment work and basic psychotherapy training (step 1). Experience in change work with families and work based on a mentalizing and systemic approach is advantageous. Good knowledge of NPF, trauma, and mental illness.

Employment Type

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date by agreement. We apply a 6-month probationary period.

Criminal Record Check

A criminal record check (suspicions and offenses) will be requested - form. The processing time may vary depending on how many requests for extracts are made.
