The Social Administration works to ensure that all citizens, when needed, can receive the support they may require in various situations. This is done within the framework of social services' missions and various legislations, as well as based on the values of the Social Administration. This may include home care, special housing, advice and support for people with disabilities, financial support, or assistance with addiction problems. The municipality's competence supply unit is also part of the administration.

The Social Administration is divided into five areas: Home Care, Care and Nursing Housing, Health and Medical Care, Individual and Family Care, and the area for people with disabilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Stolpetorpsvägen 42 is a group home according to LSS with 4 apartments for adults with intellectual disabilities such as developmental disabilities and autism. As a support pedagogue at Stolpetorpsvägen 42, you will be part of a team with 6 staff members, of which 5 are support assistants. You will work closely with the unit manager and be part of the team, participating in the daily work with those we are here to support.

The support pedagogue serves as a support function within the team to plan, implement, evaluate, and analyze the pedagogical work. The main task is to support and motivate users in daily activities to increase their independence based on each individual's abilities. Responsibilities include assisting residents with personal care, cleaning, laundry, shopping, and various activities. Tasks delegated by a nurse, such as medication management, and sometimes rehabilitative and training interventions from physiotherapists/occupational therapists, are also included. The support pedagogue's role also involves monitoring the field and participating in implementing new knowledge in the organization. The support pedagogue coordinates colleagues in establishing and following up on individual implementation plans, coordinated individual plans (SIP), and documentation according to legislation. The role also includes collaborating with the individual, representatives, relatives, and other people in the person's network, such as habilitation, psychiatry, healthcare, occupational therapists, and more.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is creative and flexible and has a relevant post-secondary education specializing in the disability field, such as:

  • Higher vocational education to become a support pedagogue
  • University education that the employer considers suitable, e.g., occupational therapist, social worker, behavioral scientist, preschool teacher, or other educational training
  • University courses in areas such as pedagogy, disabilities, documentation, and legislation in a scope deemed suitable by the employer for the needs of the organization (at least 60 credits). Or other education assessed as equivalent.

You should have experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, and/or developmental disabilities. You should have good computer skills and knowledge of applicable legislation regarding documentation according to current laws based on LSS and the Social Services Act.

As a person, you are responsible and have a respectful attitude. We want you to have good collaboration skills but also the ability to work independently. The role includes maintaining a salutogenic approach to enable individuals to have a comprehensible, manageable, and meaningful everyday life with opportunities for continuous development. You have a pedagogical and motivating approach. You will work according to a schedule based on the needs of the organization, which currently includes day, evening, weekend, and sleeping on-call shifts. You must master the Swedish language to communicate both verbally and in writing with users and colleagues as required by the organization.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for the position.

A driver's license is required.
