We are now looking for a Social Worker/Child Follow-Up Worker for the Child and Family Unit.

About the Organization

At the social office in Hallsberg, government matters are handled within all areas of social services. We are a workplace with about 55 employees within IFO, both men and women of varying ages and years in the profession. We strive for a workplace with legally secure handling for our clients/users and a good working environment for our employees. Our vision is to work to strengthen families so they can develop and thrive.

The Child and Family Unit consists of reception and investigators with a total of 10 caseworkers, as well as the family law and foster care unit, which consists of 3 child follow-up workers and 3 family law and foster care secretaries, and the open care/family team, which consists of 7 family therapists. The work in the Child and Family Unit is led by a unit manager and two group leaders. One team leader for reception and investigation and one team leader for family law and foster care unit and open care.

In the unit, we implement the Sign of Safety as a working model. We have regular case load measurements as a tool in the work environment to ensure a reasonable and good workload.

Job Responsibilities

As a child follow-up worker with us, you will work to follow up on the care of placed children and young people. You are the designated social worker who visits the child or young person regularly and to the extent that is appropriate based on the young person's needs. Your contact with the child/young person aims to ensure that their care is met. You work to ensure that the child's needs for schooling, leisure, health, and medical care are met. As a child follow-up worker, you actively work for the three-part parenthood, which involves contact with the child, parents, network, and foster home/accommodation. You make considerations, reassessments, and investigations concerning the placed child. We work in the Lifecare operational system.

You will be part of a wonderful work team with close cooperation with your colleagues at the workplace. You have close support from your colleagues and daily supervision from group leaders, as well as regular check-ins/case reviews.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Degree in Social Work
• Driver's license

Meritorious:

• Knowledge of BBIC
• Sign of Safety
• Experience in social work with government authority and focus on children and young people
