Summer Temporary Position as Treatment Secretary at SiS LVM Home Runnagården

The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse. SiS LVM Home Runnagården accepts women with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse. We also accept women with mental health issues and aggressive behavior. Additionally, we accept women undergoing medication-assisted treatment (LARO).

Job Description

Take the opportunity to try an interesting summer temporary position as a treatment secretary at SiS. You will gain a unique insight into our operations. The starting point of our treatment work is to motivate people to new and less destructive ways of living. You will work in a team of dedicated colleagues, and with your combined expertise, you will have the opportunity to achieve good results. As a treatment secretary, you will coordinate and plan the care and treatment of our clients and ensure that the work surrounding the individual is conducted in accordance with SiS processes. Job tasks include, for example:

  • Ensuring that treatment or enforcement planning, discharge plans, and final notes are established and continuously followed up and revised.
  • Involving and engaging the client in every step of the treatment or enforcement process.
  • Anchoring the treatment or enforcement planning with the unit manager, group leader, treatment team, and staff on the department.
  • Responsible for evaluating care and treatment efforts together with the client.
  • Planning and leading the institution's treatment collegium, and guiding treatment staff towards care and treatment goals in daily work.
  • Coordinating, planning, and leading both internal and external coordination meetings, as well as collaborating with the individual's private and professional network.
  • Coordinating the work of conducting needs assessments or investigations within the treatment team.
  • Other tasks relevant to the role that are necessary to create good results.

Working hours are: daytime, office hours.

As a summer temp at SiS, you will undergo a tailored introductory training to prepare you for your assignment.

Qualifications

You should have:

  • Relevant higher education, such as a social worker, social pedagogue, or other healthcare/behavioral science education,
  • Experience in conducting motivational and treatment work individually or in groups.
  • Good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing.
  • Class B driver's license.

Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, are empathetic, and can create good therapeutic relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have a good ability to collaborate with others and are willing to share your knowledge with colleagues. You need to be good at planning and structuring your work and be able to work independently and take initiative. Since treatment work is documented and discussed with various stakeholders, high demands are placed on good Swedish in both speech and writing.
