About the Position

Welcome to us! As a summer substitute in the area of Individual and Family Care, you will work on investigating, following up, and assessing various types of needs and situations according to current legislation. The work mainly involves qualified investigative work characterized by good interactions, well-founded decisions, and high legal certainty.

The areas we offer summer substitutes in are as follows:

  • Investigation Children and Youth 1, Manager Monika Berg
  • Investigation Children and Youth 2, Manager Sara Samuelsson
  • Investigation Youth and Adults, Manager Ann-Christine Olofsson Lindberg
  • Reception, Manager Henric Elgstrand
  • Foster Care, Manager Ulrika Lundkvist
  • Social Emergency Service, Manager Tina Mathsson Hagman

Examples of Work Tasks:

Main work tasks in all areas may include:

  • investigating and processing cases according to current legislation
  • documenting during and after conversations
  • gathering information
  • writing statements to various authorities
  • collaborating with external partners
  • collaborating with other social services
  • following up on interventions

If you work in Investigation Children and Youth or Investigation Youth and Adults, you will mainly work with investigative work according to current legislation.

If you work in Foster Care, you will mainly work with children, youth, and foster homes according to current legislation.

If you work in Reception, you will mainly work with processing an initial assessment of cases according to current legislation. Here you will meet all ages.

If you work in the Social Emergency Service, you will mainly work with processing an initial or urgent assessment of cases according to current legislation. Here you will meet all ages. You will work evenings, weekends, and some daytime hours.

About the Workplace

The organization of the Social Welfare Board is based on several areas with both authority exercise and caring interventions. These positions as social workers involve authority exercise, and all activities are located at Ribbingsgatan 1-3 in central Örebro.

There is close cooperation and clear collaboration between all areas of social services, which include authority exercise, group homes, outpatient care, and other voluntary support, all focused on the needs and best interests of the client.

Qualifications

To thrive with us, you prefer to work in a team with shared responsibility while independently driving the work forward. In the role, it is important that you are attentive in your interactions with others and have a natural ability to understand others' perspectives and situations without losing your professional integrity. The work requires good communication skills, which means that you can express yourself clearly and structured in both speech and writing.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • degree in social work 210 credits or social work student with completed semester 5
  • driver's license for manual transmission

Meritorious:

  • experience of authority exercise
  • experience of BBIC
  • experience of ASI
  • experience of MI

Scope and Start Date

Employment type: summer substitute

Employment rate: 100%

Start date: agreed date in June - until agreed August
