ABOUT THE POSITION

We are now looking for a personal assistant for a 15-year-old boy with autism and mental disabilities.

He needs close support and active supervision in his daily life, including assistance with personal hygiene and daily routines. The boy does not have spoken language and uses limited sign language and visual aids in his communication. The work therefore requires great sensitivity, patience, and the ability to read signals. His emotional state can change quickly, and he may become outwardly aggressive at times, which means that you, as an assistant, need to be secure, calm, and stable even in more demanding situations. You will play an important role in creating safe and stimulating moments for him.

WORKING HOURS AND EMPLOYMENT GRADES

The working hours are currently daytime on weekends according to an agreement with the parents, with the possibility of increased working hours in the future.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for someone who is responsible, reliable, and has a genuine commitment to working with young people with special needs. You need to be patient and creative, a person who enjoys coming up with developmental activities, while also being calm and clear when the situation requires it. You need to be secure in yourself and have the ability to create calm and stability during stress or emotional challenges. Experience and knowledge of autism and alternative and augmentative communication, such as visual aids, are meritorious. However, we place great emphasis on personal suitability and the right attitude.

YOUR SALARY

At Vivida, you as an assistant receive a fixed base salary per hour + vacation pay and any additional compensation. A collective agreement is in place.
