About the Unit

The Helicopter Wing's staff is part of the war unit 3rd Air Wing. A4 is one of the departments in the staff responsible for logistics for the entire Helicopter Wing, which operates in Linköping, Luleå, Ronneby, and Kvarn. The department consists of both professional officers and civilians focused on logistics, supply management, technical services, transport services, medical care, environment, and infrastructure. At A4, you will be part of the management team, and your position will be placed under the head of A4.

Main Responsibilities

The position of administrator plays an important role in the department. Your tasks will primarily involve supporting the head, as well as providing administrative support to the other staff in the department.

Examples of tasks in your role as an administrator:

  • Support the head of A4 in planning, budgeting, and monitoring operations
  • Manage the department's email, documents, and correspondence in VIDAR
  • Responsible for the department's building, including administration of keys and access permissions
  • Handle purchases in PRIO and other purchases for the department
  • Information management on the Swedish Armed Forces intranet EMILIA
  • Administer advertisements and support recruitment
  • Train the department's staff in internal procedures
  • Meeting and project administration as well as meeting preparation tasks

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Current experience working as an administrator or work deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Very good knowledge of the Office suite
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form
  • Driving license B (manual transmission)

Meritorious

  • Professional experience in administrative work within the Swedish Armed Forces
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces various IT systems such as PRIO and VIDAR
  • Knowledge in finance and budgeting
  • Good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form

You are security-conscious, responsible, and goal-oriented in your work and appreciate working both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues. It is also important that you are adaptable and solution-oriented to adjust to changing needs or the planning of operations. As a person, we also see that you are attentive, flexible, and have good communication skills. To thrive in the role, you are social and have a high sense of service.

  • Employment form: Permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period.
  • Scope: Full-time
  • Work location: Linköping. Tasks that are carried out for a shorter time at another location or abroad as well as evening and weekend work may occur in the job.
  • Start date: By agreement

The Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter Wing is a unit with both land and sea operational focus that can operate in missions in Sweden and internationally.

Helicopter support is requested by many. For example, for personnel, material, or medical transport, command, reconnaissance, or surveillance missions. The Helicopter Wing often participates in missions and exercises with other units but also as support to society in various crisis situations.

Our operations span across Sweden, the variety of tasks, and the size of the wing with over 950 employees provide a variation in work and opportunities for personal development. The majority of the Helicopter Wing is located in Linköping (Malmen), where we also manage Malmen Airport and Linköping garrison, with two large units in Luleå (Kallax) and Ronneby (Kallinge).
