Economist for the Municipal Director's Office
Are you driven by creating structure, quality, and good financial management? Then you could be our new economist who wants to contribute to developing and strengthening financial management within the Municipal Director's Office.
Who are we?
The Finance and Management Unit belongs to the Municipal Director's Office and has an overarching responsibility for coordinating the municipality's work with budget, accounting, finance, governance, quality, and statistics. The unit works with the municipality's overall financial management and has primary responsibility for producing the municipality's budget and annual report.
We are now looking for an economist for the Municipal Director's Office with a specific task to support the Guardianship Unit in financial matters. The Guardianship Unit is responsible for recruiting and training guardians and administrators (so-called representatives).
Your tasks
In the role of economist, you will work with budget, follow-up, and year-end closing for the Municipal Director's Office, where the Guardianship Unit is included as one of the operations. You will provide support to the Guardianship Unit in financial matters and contribute with qualified analysis, follow-up, and financial support.
You will be the presenter in the Guardianship Committee for financial matters. The role includes many points of contact with other economists in the municipality and employees within the Municipal Executive Office.
We offer a developing and stimulating role with significant personal responsibility.
Who are you?
You have a university degree in economics, such as business administration, economics, or public administration with a financial focus. It is a plus if you have experience working with financial follow-up and budget work.
Experience in municipal operations and an understanding of how a politically governed organization works is an advantage. You have good knowledge of the Office suite and Excel.
As a person, you are quality-oriented and driven by the desire to develop and improve based on the needs of the operations. You are independent and confident in your profession and plan your work to achieve set goals. You have a holistic perspective, quickly grasp complex issues, and seek long-term solutions.
Since the work relies heavily on dialogue and collaboration, you have the ability to build and maintain good professional relationships and are solution-focused. You communicate clearly and confidently and can adapt your language according to the audience.
You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
Welcome with your application!
